Appendix — quick reference
What works and what does not, by student PC state
Even when a student PC is logged out (at the login screen), its card shows as online — because it is a system service that keeps the connection. In that state the features divide as below. When the screen is locked (the user is logged in and the lock screen is showing), screen sharing and full view work, and features the student has to see, such as messages and quizzes, appear once the lock is released.

If you send a feature that does not work to a logged-out student, a “No logged-in user” notification appears at the bottom of the console and is kept in Notification history. For Android and macOS students, features work only as far as the platform allows (see the feature badges on the card).

Shortcuts worth remembering
- Double-click a card = full view
- Right-click a card = open the menu for that student
- Nobody selected = the whole class is the target
