Before you begin
This manual explains how a teacher uses the ClassNori teacher console to manage the student PCs in a classroom. It walks through every screen element and feature in order, so if you are new to it, read chapters 1 to 3 first and then pick out the features you need.
1.1 What ClassNori is
ClassNori is classroom management software that helps teachers in schools and training centres run the student PCs in front of them. Screen sharing, screen locking, remote control, file exchange, internet and program restrictions, messages, quizzes, document presentation and power control are all gathered into one program.
It comes in just two parts.

1.2 Requirements

| Network | The teacher PC and the student PCs must be on the same network (the same classroom LAN or Wi-Fi). |
| Connection | Wired gigabit LAN is recommended. Wi-Fi works too, but keeping it to 25–30 machines per access point is more stable. |

1.3 Three ideas worth knowing first
Understanding these three things before you touch the console makes most features straightforward.
Student cards and selection
Connected students appear as cards in the grid in the middle of the screen. Clicking a card selects it, and the selected students are what a feature acts on.
Online and offline
A student PC that is switched on and connected to the console is online (shown bright); one that is off or disconnected is offline (dimmed). Live features such as screen sharing and locking only apply to students who are online.
Class and groups
All your students form one ‘class’, and you can gather them into ‘groups’ (teams) for group work as needed. Groups are managed in the Groups tab.
